Here are some quick picks... I don't know that they count for good before and after... and it has only been 2 weeks, so maybe I shouldn't be taking pictures yet... but hey, I believe if it is working, it will begin to show a little, right?
No, they are not the most flattering pics... but hey, in the end they tell the story more than the scale... I'm trying to be in the same place for the picture... wear the same gym shorts and never suck in my gut. So, this is me, so far... not a huge difference... but I will tell you... I could fit into pants this last week that I couldn't before... so, give me 2 more weeks... and the before/after should be even more clear. I've been doing the treamill just for the last 4 days (ate HUGE meal yesterday at a friends Graduation... Bucca De Beppo pasta huge... But 1 meal does put weight on you or take it off... though it sure felt like it.. I also did a footbath cleanse... that was nice. I had never done anything like that still have a lot to learn about the process. Here are a few pics:
.
Who would have thought that would come out of me?
What if I did it before the cleanse? Hmmmm.
Anyways, I'm back on it Monday or Tuesday depending on "lunch schedules this week.
I'm excited, I feel great, and i'm ready for more results.
See ya!

I did not lose 14lbs, as hoped...
But I did lose 13.4lb... so, I'm certainly on the right track with all of this.
I have not been 190 in a looooooooooooong time.
So, I'm feeling good.
I'm planning to do the 9-day one more time and then I'll probably stay on the maintenance after that.
I feel good and I'm excited about the face that I lose 13.4lb and have less than 10 lbs total for my goal.
I'll also begin strength training which means my weight will be less significant and my measurements will be more.
Hears to the future!

all on track for cleanse... the first Cleanse for Life did shoot through me again within 10-15mins..... all good on the second one (like my first cleanse experience. I did have 3 pieces of celery with some almond butter. Fortunately almond butter is not addictive like my peanut butter... so, I probably has 1 tablespoon total... versus 3 if I would have had peanut butter. :) ... it is a good day!
P.s. I tried the vanilla snacks... maybe not as good as chocolate... but the variety was nice... and I will enjoy them.

So far the most difficult thing to remember it to take the isaflush at the end of the day... since my days typically end around midnight...
Today begins....:)
I;ll post new weight Sunday morning....

did a few extra shake days b/c I had lunch dates with colleagues.
I'm running out of snacks... but more on the way... :)
Tonight I am feeling a bit bloated.... had salad for lunch... couldn't make the hard-boiled egg happen at work, headed up egg beaters in the microwave... may be a big no no... not sure... just needed something. Other than that, I'm right in line.
Cleanse again tomorrow... weigh and meausre on Saturday... I expect I will have lost a total of 14lbs... that would be REALLY nice!
We'll see!
Joe
Okay... so, no exercise, yet... tomorrow in the am I planning to get back into the swing of things!
I have really loved having a lunch... had one small dinner on Sat night with stuffed cabbage... outside of that, I have enjoyed the shakes... I still enjoy the shakes and the snacks. Yesterday I was at book club where they were service Indian food and the food was wonderful. As with the tradition, the hostess kept offering food and I keep being polite and eating. I decided just to enjoy it and I did. Here are pictures from the scale on Friday (I think)...
ABOVE: my current weight ---- BELOW: weigh lost since starting
So... 8.8lbs and I finally get lunch!!! Because of the Indian meal I'm not in the mood to weigh myself today, however, I'll do it tomorrow in the am. I'm expecting 10lbs lost... I know I might be setting myself up for dissapoinment by posting that... but that is what the journal is for.
Sooooooo... more tomorrow.
Back to work,
Joe

I can honestly say, "I feel good!" I ran down the hall at work and actually felt lighter on my feet. And I have not exercised even once since I started this program. I will begin again today on the exercise regiment.
Yesterday was my day to have a lunch... very good! I had salad at Olive Garden and the mixed grill and minestrone soup. shared 1 person serving with a friend... it was a good spread. Maybe should not have done desert... but did... I think my meal totaled 750-800 calories. I'm good with that. My scale shows me at 194.4... if I am correct... that means I lost 9 lbs! Ahhh, this is good, too! I'll put up pics tomorrow.
Onward and downward!

I have actually lost weight through this part of the process so far:
I know it is early and maybe it just reflects how bad my eating habits were... but hey, lost 6.4lbs - - - no complaints. :)
The Cleanse For Life tastes like a watered down apple juice or white grape juice to me. No problem drinking it. So, I am off to work with my snacks and almonds and 1 Cleanse For Life at lunch and 1 Cleanse For Life at 5PM (approx end of work-day). We'll see! I'll weigh again on Saturday.
See ya!

Yesterday I really wanted Indian food... but hey, I always do.... drove around for a while looking trying to figure out where to go. It is funny when I am hungry I notice I don't have a lot of patience... with myself or other. I decided on some sort of chicken salad...... the whole way there I was thinking, "I totally do not want chicken salad." Hmmmm.... weird. I really wanted fish. Hmmmm.... oh well, I have no idea where to get fish for lunch that isn't fried... I ended up going to Ruby Tuesday's and ordered the saladbar and asked for a side of salmon.
Lots of romaine and spinach... brocoli and string beans... an a great piece of salmon that was so big I left some. Though a bit expensive, it was VERY good.
Later, I did not realize I was to have another shake... so my afternoon was mostly spent thinking about having a bite of something... i had to laugh as I thought, "FORGET THIS! IT AIN'T WORTH IT!" But hey, just kept working and found a few almonds. I think I need to have a printed out plan b/c it is not normal for me, yet. I went to a store where the owners are teaching me to speak their native tongue. They offered me coffee (yes, with junk in it). and roasted chickpeas. I hadn't eaten anything but a few almonds for 7hrs and I wasn't really prepared to say no. So, I had a cup and a handful of chickpeas. This obviously has nothing to do with Isagenix... but it is where I am and that what the journal is keeping track of. I stopped by a grocery store bought some celery.... I'm nt sure if you have ever eaten $3.00 worth of celery, but it kept me from thinking too much about eating... I got home much later, had a shake and an accelerator. I spoke with my friends in
TODAY:
Woke up very early... listened to a mediation cd... funny I was very distracted and then I got a headache (odd for me - never have them now)... drank some water... then layed down (not ideal). Woke back up, had a shake and then got my day started. Went looking for the email from the first day... then it dawned on me that it may have gone to my work email. So, I'll go by work and pull it up. I remembered to take an accelerator capsule. Instead of getting caught up in "need to know the instructions" I'm just going to have the same things for lunch, remember to have a shake in the afternoon (oops, no shake)... so, I'll have the almonds on me... and then later the same. All good.
I think tomorrow I start the actual "cleanse" part of this... the paperwork says clense for life (4ox with water 4x per day) + Purified Water (easy, I drink double) + Isagenix Snacks? hmmm... we'll see. Okay, off to the day. Here are my starting pictures - as promised. It was interesting taking them and thinking... am I really going to post pictures of me looking at my worst? Hmmm... I know, just do it.
Yeah, I know, I cut off my head... hahaha!
See ya!

Okay... it begins.
I am doing this cleanse for weight loss and health.
I'll concentrate on the weight loss primarily because it is measurable.
It is Saturday, April 26th.
I got on the scale this morning ---- 203.4 and 26.9% body fat
I don't know if this scale can really tell me my body fat but I can still use it as a baseline.
I'll add a picture of me by the end of today and that is really the "baseline" that I'm using, anyway.
Okay, so I had my first IsaLean shake and took a 1 Natural Accelerator.
Off into the day... :)
Peace,
Joe
